The winners for the Europan 11 sites in Norway were announced in a prize ceremony
at DogA in Oslo Wednesday night. 14 teams were awarded, but only one team was
awarded 1st prize.
Chairman of the jury, Deane Simpson, stressed that even if only one team was
awarded the most prestigious prize the other projects had significant qualities,
qualities that would make the foundation for future collaboration between cities
and architects.
Both president of Europan Norway Knut Eirik Dahl and president of the National
Association of Norwegian Architects Kjersti Nerseth gave accolades to the Norwegian
Europan 11 cities for their role as enablers of innovation and door openers for
young practitioners.
The following day teams met with city representatives to define road maps for
implementation. Next stop is now local workshops in the cities. Europan Norway
wishes all the teams and the cities good luck in the future activities.
