URBAN DESIGN AWARDS
16. May 2012
We are now seeking entries in the practice award category and are looking for projects from all around the world.
The Urban Design Group (UDG) is a UK-based inter-disciplinary charity with a
mission to support and encourage everyone committed to improving life in cities,
towns and villages. We work to promote the importance of high quality urban design and collaboration
within the design process, through various diverse initiatives – including awards,
events, research and publications - and especially our acclaimed quarterly journal
Urban Design which features articles from leading practitioners on innovative
projects and new theories both in the UK and internationally.
The highly successful awards scheme, now in its fifth year, is run by the Urban
Design Group (
www.udg.org.uk) a UK-based inter-disciplinary charity with a mission to support and encourage
everyone committed to improving life in cities, towns and villages. The aim of the awards is to give recognition to the very best in urban design
practice and ideas from around the world and to raise the profile of urban designers
globally.
Shortlisted entries are published in our journal Urban Design and showcased at
our prestigious awards event in February 2013. Full details, including previous
winners, can be found in the attached
pdf. The deadline for submissions is Friday 6 July 2012.
