The newly established NUDA Student Board which will be officially active 5th
March 2012 aims to gather all Urban Design students from across the nordic countries
into one organization.
Currently we are inviting students from each of the nordic universities that
educate urban design to apply for a place as board member.
One of the core aim is to formalize the NUDA Recognized Practitioner. This recognition
as an urban designer will help to gather urban Design as a profession equal to
architecture, planning and landscape architecture within the Nordic region. This
will offer the status and professional identity that many urban design professionals
and students have long sought for. NUDA members with this
distinction will commit themselves to promote high standards of urban design in
a nordic setting and by doing so they will receive an affiliation that has an
international value.
We invite students on master degree level to apply for a position in the new
NUDA Student Board! To manage the challenging task of promoting Urban Design and
establish it as an acknowledged profession requires the capacity of a collaborative
cooperation between the educational institutes within the Nordic countries educating
urban design. There is a need for an organization that can be the voice and nordic
gathering point for such a collaborative work. NUDA has taken this role and starts
the process by establishing the first Nordic student board which aim is to gather
students within urban design under one umbrella and through this manage a collaborative
collaboration between universities in the Nordic region.
With this letter we invite students on master degree level to apply for a position
in the new NUDA Student Board chaired by Masters Degree student at University
of Stavanger, Moa Sundberg.
Letter of invitation attached.
