ag4 mediatecture company® was established in 1991 as a result of the cooperation
between architects and media designers. ag4 is short for the German for “consortium
for four-dimensional construction“. The first years of cooperation saw the rise
of a new creative discipline which ag4 established in 1993 and termed “mediatecture“.ag4
mediatecture company® works primarily for large institutions and companies with
a vital need for communication - both internally and externally. ag4 assists its
clients with mediatectural methods in the establishing and communication of their
corporate identity. The focus of ag4 consists of achieving interaction between
the virtual world of the corporation and the actual piece of architecture by the
integration of media into the building itself. This objective means ag4 is active
in three business streams: media facades, space presentation and electronic systems
resulting in communication solutions that are developed and realised by ag4 as
a full service provider. Architect Christoph Kronhagel and business economist
Ralf Müller are managing partners of ag4 while the director Harald Singer is a
dormant partner. Together they lead a team consisting of many professions. The
multidisciplinarity as well as the high degree of identification with the company
of the long-serving team members form the basis of the success of the projects.
